Our Story
Founded in 2015 by Robert “Rob” Perry, Pecan FO is the culmination of a strong two-generational commitment to work ethic and living within one’s means. These fundamental building blocks have provided the opportunity and freedom for the past and present generation to 1) pursue higher levels of education, 2) save and actively invest those savings and 3) engage in entrepreneurial endeavors.
Early Roots In Pennsylvania
Pecan’s roots stretch back to both Pittsburgh, "The Steel City", and the coal mining counties of central Pennsylvania where the blue collar work ethic that underpins Pecan's platform takes shape.
Late 1990s - Early 2000s
During this period, New York City provides Rob with entrepreneurial opportunities in below investment grade corporate credit. "The Big Apple" experience helps him develop the skill sets essential to building a thoughtfully diversified portfolio.
Founded in 2015
Pecan launches in San Diego, "America's Finest City", reflecting the two-generational culmination of adhering to the fundamental building blocks.
2017 - Kilo Capital Formed
Expanding on Rob's previous experience in corporate credit, Pecan co-founds Kilo Capital , a precious metals-centric commodity finance platform. Kilo migrates its headquarters to "The Queen's City", Charlotte, NC.
Pecan intends for future generations to be instilled with the same fundamental building blocks that were the seedlings for the current platform and aspires to ensure a consistent yet dynamic approach to investing over long periods of time. We welcome you to join us on this journey.
